Experience Workshop
Come and spend four to five hours in the Old Barn Leather studio, where you will learn about leather and make a small project using the tools and materials typical in a leather crafter’s workshop.
Once you have purchased your place on a workshop, you will receive a downloadable voucher by email. This can also be used as a gift card. If you would like to receive a voucher/gift card by post, please let me know.

The workshop includes
· A little bit of history and a little bit about leather, its tanning processes, its uses, and its characteristics.
Use of templates, tools and relevant fixed equipment in the studio
· Leather, dyes, threads, snaps etc. for a small project (up to approximately one square foot of leather)
During your workshop, you will learn a number of leatherworking processes including:
· choosing a design for a small project and planning its embellishment
· cutting leather using a template
· using a range of tools and techniques to transfer and work your design into the leather
· applying colour and finishes
· stitching and finishing your project
· you will also learn about leatherworking processes in general, a little about its history and about different types of leather and their applications.
Tea and coffee are in unlimited supply
We can arrange the workshop to run at a time that is mutually suitable.
